Strategic Planning and Board Education
Every credit union is different and, therefore, every credit union’s needs are different. With that in mind, OMA facilitates the strategic planning process, allowing the credit union to develop the “nuts and bolts” of its strategic action plan. In that regard, OMA provides a customized, strategic plan for each organization. Furthermore, OMA provides the management team and Board of Directors with the necessary education, whether about the industry or specific to the credit union’s market or internal organization, to help make important strategic decisions for the future.
Leadership Coaching and Onboarding
OMA focuses on the entire leadership transition of the credit union, not just bringing in new talent. It is dedicated to helping the CEO and Board of Directors develop a Succession Plan, with emphasis on creating individual development plans for the talent within the organization as well as guidelines for CEO succession. OMA will also help the organization to implement CEO Mentoring, which establishes a 3-6 month contract with the outgoing CEO to be used as an offsite resource for the new CEO. Through an alliance partner, OMA offers “onboarding” for newly hired or promoted employees, providing them with the necessary tools and support needed to be successful in their new positions.
