Jeffrey C. Johnson is the executive managing director of specialty practices operating on a national level.  He oversees the Transaction Support Services, Regulatory Insurance, Technology Risk Management Services and National Credit Union practices, which includes more than 600 people.  Focusing on the private equity, financial services and midsized marketplace, Jeff is responsible for implementing the firm’s strategic plan, delivering planned financial results, managing operational excellence, and building teams and processes.

Jeff has served in several leadership positions at RSM McGladrey and brings nearly 30 years of business consulting experience in the areas of strategic business planning, business process improvement, risk management, business crisis/turnaround management and financial management.  Most recently, Jeff was the managing director of National Consulting Services in the United States where he oversaw a variety of matters related to the growth, profitability and management of the practice.  Providing strategic direction, he was integral in the firm’s initiative to increase penetration in the private equity market sector.  Jeff was also responsible for the development of the risk management service line, specifically in the areas of internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley and their related delivery methodologies.Prior to his role in National Consulting Services, Jeff was the practice leader for the Central Illinois consulting practice—responsible for client needs assessments, quality control and driving operational results of consulting services.  Before joining RSM McGladrey, he worked for an international public accounting firm and was the director of acquisitions for a real estate and venture capital company.At RSM McGladrey, Jeff also served as the Centre of Excellence leader for the Americas and acted as the American liaison managing director for our European and Asia-Pacific firms.
